Beautifully situated in the remote Newlands Valley, yet thirty minutes drive from Keswick, at O.S. Grid Ref. NY 229 177.  Reached by driving or walking the last mile along an unsurfaced track, the hut sleeps 16 and has gas cookers and lighting.

One of the most attractive features is the coke pot-bellied stove. Cold water supply is straight from the fells above the hut & needs to be treated before drinking, this also supplies a flushing toilet. Facilities are both basic and appreciated by those wishing to get away from it all.

To stay in the hut a booking can be made by calling the Hut Secretary, Clive Barnett on 01782 316364. A key deposit of £20.00 is payable and the cost is £8.00 per person per night, with a minimum charge of £25 per day per booking.
